01 · The game look

Game night, dealt onto every phone.

Twenty-five words on cream cards, from packs like سفرة خليجية and من الخليج للمحيط. The hinter says «برّ ٣», the team argues it out, and every flip lands with a cheer or a groan.

«برّ ٣» means three cards go with the desert. طوز and غبار are found. The team is torn between كشتة and طعوس.

02 · How to play

From the group chat to the first clue in a minute.

  1. سوّ غرفة ودز الرابط للربع

    Make a room and send the link to the group. Whoever opens it types a name and they're in. No download, no account.

  2. كل واحد يدخل باسمه من تيلفونه

    Everyone joins from their own phone, gets a character with its own voice, and picks a side: الأزرق or الأحمر.

  3. الملمّح يلمّح بكلمة، والباقي يحزّرون

    The hinter gives one word and a number. The rest of the team guess which cards it points to.

The rules in twenty seconds

  • الأزرق ضد الأحمر. Each team has one الملمّح (the hinter). Everyone else is one of المحزّرين (the guessers).
  • 25 words on a 5×5 board. Only the hinters see which word belongs to which team.
  • «بحر ٢» means two words on the board go with the sea. You get up to the number plus one guesses, or stop early with «خلصنا».
  • The first team to uncover all its words wins. Uncover حمارة القايلة and you lose on the spot.
03 · Who's who, and what's under the cards

Two roles. Four kinds of card. One of them bites.

حمارة القايلة is the Gulf folk-tale creature who scares kids into staying indoors during the midday summer heat. In Ghamza she hides under one card.

04 · Power-ups

المساعدات: four tricks up your sleeve.

Every team gets all four, and each one works once per round.

  • عين الصقر Falcon Eye

    Shows you one neutral card, so you know where not to tap.

  • الدرع The Shield

    Hit حمارة القايلة this turn and the shield blocks her. Only your turn ends.

  • زود وقت More time

    Thirty extra seconds for this turn, for the team that needs to argue a bit longer.

  • الغمزة The Wink · the game's namesake

    The hinter winks at one card, and the game answers «إيه» or «لا». One yes or no, at the perfect moment.

05 · Guess his clue

Hussein gives the clue. Can you get it with a wink?

Hussein is the hinter for الأزرق. He sees the colours, and he says:

Sea, two cards. His board has غوص (pearl diving), لؤلؤ (pearls), يريور (shark) and نخلة (palm tree). Tap غوص and لؤلؤ and you got it. The shark is sea too… but that card is the trap, حمارة القايلة!

06 · Ways to play

Everyone on their phone, or one screen in the middle.

Everyone plays from their own phone, and the hinter sees the colours on their own screen. Share the room with a link, a QR code or a 6-character code. Best with 4 or more.

  • Up to 10 players, 5 per team; anyone extra joins as a spectator
